Hey CSM readers! Over the last two years, I have dedicated my time to The Sidekick and Coppell Student Media, and I would like to thank you on behalf of our staff for supporting everything we do. From subscriptions to our paper to participation in our first annual Sidekick Strides for Life 5K, the amazing support we get from our community upholds this prestigious publication.

For my senior year, I have been privileged to be named as The Sidekick’s managing editor, a position new to the staff as of the 2013-2014 school year. As the managing editor, I will serve as part of The Sidekick’s executive leadership along with editor-in-chief Kristen Shepard and enterprise editor Elizabeth Sims. I am very excited to work with these ladies as they are outstanding journalists and wonderful people! We have already begun developing ideas to improve our product and bring our staff closer together.

After previously serving as both a staff writer and the features editor for The Sidekick, I feel confident in this leadership position. I have many ideas to improve our publication and am hoping for big accomplishments from our staff for the new school year. We are hoping to make this a groundbreaking year for The Sidekick, and I am ecstatic to see what will unfold!
