A quick fix to an autumn wardrobe malfunction

Ashley Attanucci Web Manager Boots. A favorite item of girls’ to wear as soon as the weather is cold enough to not appear crazy to wear them. So this season, make sure that your boots bring their A-game to your next outfit by ensuring that they don’t sag with the Boot Stay. For ten bucks, this investment is garuanteed to keep your boot from sagging down. Though I’ve never experienced this phenomenon (the only boots I ever wear anyways are fur-lined winter boots that are tight enough to stick to my leg on their own), this product is quite popular online. Just peel and stick the cotton-covered adhesive to inside of your boot and you’re…

Weekend weather problems

by Caitlin Conner This weekend, I was looking forward to spending a beautiful Saturday outdoors at Texas A&M University where I would attend the annual Maroon vs. White spring football game. However, this might not be possible considering the weather forecast. According to weather.com, Coppell is expecting scattered thunderstorms throughout the weekend beginning today and continuing until Sunday. Here’s some other CHS events that could get canceled: CHS lacrosse games, Friday April 16 CHS baseball game, Friday April 16 and Saturday April 17 CHS Drama Club car wash, Saturday, April 17 Make sure to check back with CSM or individual team websites to confirm cancellations.

What not to wear during these cold, rainy days

With all the rain the last two days, students are bundling up to keep warm and dry. There are some that maybe aren’t making the best clothing decision when it comes to dressing for the weather. The temperature started out this morning at around 40 degrees. Though yesterday it was a little bit warmer, it’s still surprising to see students wearing shorts. Today especially, with the slowing dropping temperature, you’d think that you’d see most everyone wearing pants. I was shocked to find a few students walking in the halls with shorts on. Shorts should be reserved for warm weather with the coldest temperature for them being the high or middle 70′s. Those wearing them…

Rain, rain go away

Frances Ruiz Staff Writer It’s the rain. It has to be. I can’t think of any other reason as to why I could barely drag myself out of bed, throw on whatever clean sweatshirt I could find and sleepily make my way down the puddled road of Denton Tap to CHS. With so many windows and skylights in our building, I can’t help but see the dreary outside atmosphere and daydream of  the warm, fuzzy blankets and tasty, hot chocolate awaiting me at home. If only the torrential downpour that occurred last night had somehow turned into ice and snow, then maybe we could all be enjoying the wonderful surprise of a snow day. But it didn’t, and sadly, we’re not. Even…

Nice weather on its way in Coppell

Story by Peter Sblendorio Staff Writer After nearly a week of cold and rainy weather in Coppell, the ten-day forecast is looking promising. The high for the weekend is 70 degrees on Sunday, with a high of 69 degrees coming tomorrow. The temperature is likely to dip down into low 50s or high 40s come nighttime, though no rain is projected. Similar highs and lows will last throughout the week, with the highest high temperature coming on Monday at 71 degrees and most lows settling around the low 50s. This change in weather will make outdoor practices more manageable for Coppell sports teams than they were this week, as the weather will be far more…
