Ten seconds to help a child
Laura Kattilakoski Staff Writer Ten seconds of your time could be all it takes to make a difference in a child’s life. For every “like” that the Armani page recieves, Armani will donate $1 to the UNICEF. UNICEF has been working actively since 2007 to bring clean water to children worldwide. Just a dollar can go a long way in making a difference. The entire process is quick and easy- plus it can provide clean water for a child for 40 days.

Coppell High School has several clubs dedicated to this cause and organizations all over the world serve similar purposes. Now, for this week only, there is a new way for people of all ages to get involved in this cause. How to help Haiti; organizations provide relief to damaged country
By Mary Whitfill Staff Writer On Jan. 12 at 4:53 pm an earthquake devastated Haiti, hitting with a magnitude of 7.0 at the epicenter, the USGS called it the strongest earthquake in the area since 1770. The earthquake hit 10 miles west of Porte-au-Prince and its 2 million inhabitants, leaving 3 million in need of emergency care. Since as early as hours after the earthquake, charity organizations have been pulling together new projects and creating new funds to help those devastated by the disaster. Fun dress-up, pumpkin carving and sugary chocolates and candies are only a few trademarks of this late October festivity. Yes, Cowboys and Cowgirls, Halloween is right around the corner!
