Rebecca Neumann Staff Writer Last night, the Super Bowl champions returned to the field in style. Well, for the first quarter at least. The opening drive of the night ended in a fabulous touchdown by Drew Brees. The Superdome erupted into applause that was laced with more than just team pride. Their cheers went out to their entire recovering city. After suffering the tragedy Hurricane Katrina left in its wake, New Orleans, five years later, is making progress. This time, I was hoping to see E! reality star extraordinaire and “women who stole the biggest booty title from Jennifer Lopez” Kim Kardashian and see her every move as boyfriend and New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush moves down the field. NFL says goodbye to great star in Warner
By Peter Sblendorio Staff Writer After 12 years as one of the most prolific passers in the NFL, QB Kurt Warner is calling it a career. While much of the attention in the NFL has been focused on whether Brett Farve will return or not next year, the possible retirement of Warner has been overlooked. This should not be a surprise, as Warner was often overlooked among the NFL’s elite. Warner is third all-time with a 93.7 quarterback passer rating and has won three conference titles, one of which (1999) leading to a Super Bowl victory with the Rams.
