Holiday House brings unique essence to CHS

For 16 years, CHS has hosted its annual Holiday House, serving as one of the biggest fundraisers not only for the campus, but also for Project Graduation; an organization on campus helping ensure a safe night after graduation for students. By Chris Reagan Staff Writer Every Friday night in Texas there’s at least one new story about a high school football player sidelined due to injury, but it never really hits home until it happens in your own town. When Jake Larson got injured in a Thursday night game against Denton Guyer stretching for a first down everyone considered his season over. One month later Larson is back in pads and anticipates playing by season’s end. Senior shirts have arrived

By Chase Porter Staff Writer The senior shirts that were order a few weeks ago have arrived and can be picked up at all lunches for the rest of the week. The shirts that were picked at the senior meeting feature the words, “Back Off. I’m a senior,” which was one choice out of three presented that seniors designed and then voted on. The shirt could have been purchased in a short sleeve black shirt for 15 dollars or a long sleeved charcoal colored shirt for 25 dollars. Seniors are required to wear these shirts or a shirt of a similar color to their classes panoramic picture which will be sometime in the coming months….

Senior duo sets each other up for success

By Chase Porter Staff Writer Seniors Sarah Arnold and Kristin Dickerson have been friends and teammates since the fifth grade, and now they are leaders of the varsity squad, propelling the Cowgirls’ six game winning streak. Dickerson started her volleyball career in the fifth grade playing on a club team. From then on she continued to play on the Coppell middle school East team and other non-school related club teams. Arnold had a similar start, joining Dickerson’s club team in the sixth grade and also playing with her while she was on the CMSE volleyball team. Fall has finally arrived

Throughout this past summer up until now temperatures have been reaching up into the high 90s and even reaching into the 100s. Also, North Texas also managed to once again break the heat record this year by having the most consecutive days with temperatures of over 100 degrees. The senior awards ceremony honors the hard work of many students

The senior awards ceremony is a long-standing Coppell High School tradition that brings together seniors, their parents, underclassmen and CHS staff to honor the graduating boys and girls. Specific clubs and classes get the chance to recognize specific students and their accomplishments over the years.
