“MacGruber” won’t disappoint
By Wren Culp Staff Writer Believe me, I was as skeptical as you were when I heard about NBC’s decision that the first movie in a decade to be based on a Saturday Night Live character would be MacGruber, about a guy who’s a parody of MacGyver and whose main appeal is in blowing up at the end of every 90-second sketch. Nothing in the movie resembles the character we saw in the TV series, but that’s all for the better. Freshman band carwash to take place this Saturday
Maddie Walters Staff Writer This Saturday, March 27, the freshmen members of the Coppell High School band will host a car wash behind the 7-11 in Coppell at the corner of Sandy Lake and Denton Tap. The proceeds of this annual fundraiser will go directly to purchase gifts for senior band members at the band banquet. If you’re looking for a way to support your school and clean off the spring break grime from your car, the freshman band car wash is the best way to do so. For more information on the band program and the other fundraisers they offer click here for a link to their booster’s website.

Some people only know that Texas A&M is an agricultural school and came to learn what else it has to offer. For others, it was just one of many college trips they will be taking. Class of 2011 and Aggieland tour guide Lori Ellis believes that visiting the college is the most important steps to choosing one. “We have a lot of juniors and…

Tomorrow, Jan. 30, the Coppell High School drum line will be performing their winter showcase entitled “Oddity”. It’s going to show people a funny side to percussion ensembles.” This is the second year the winter showcase will be held, and for those who attended last year, expect to see something different. According to an advertisement announced during the Red jacket announcements, there will be a gorilla banging a gong during one of the pieces. “I…
