Kimberly Del Angel Staff Writer Once again, the smell of cinnamon engulfed the hallways of Coppell High School as eager shoppers piled on campus in search for good finds at the annual Holiday House on Nov. 13. For 16 years, CHS has hosted its annual Holiday House, serving as one of the biggest fundraisers not only for the campus, but also for Project Graduation; an organization on campus helping ensure a safe night after graduation for students. Since then, the Holiday House & Craft Show has become one of the community’s treasured holiday traditions. On Sunday, November 13, CHS will host the 16th edition of the annual event. Festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the closing time of 4:30 p.m. Admission to the Holiday House & Craft Show is only $5 for adults and $3 for students. Homecoming Preparation 2011 – 2012

Tolu Salako Staff Writer Homecoming 2011 – 2012 is just around the corner and the theme this year is, “Please Don’t Stop the Music.” Homecoming this year is during the weekend of September 23rd and Student Council will be accepting pre-orders in all three lunches for Homecoming T-Shirts for $16 until Friday, September 2nd. Along with Student Council, Project Graduation will be taking orders in order to make a mum or garter during all lunches in the Commons from September 6 – September 16. Supplies can be picked up at the Mum Shop in Plano, Texas.

Students are beginning to raid Michaels all over in order to create the best mum and garter possible. With hundreds of options to choose from, students range from spending one to two hours carefully choosing their supplies. Project Graduation tickets on sale until May 28

By Gaby Moran Staff Writer Starting on May 18, the committee of Project Graduation began sales of tickets for the after graduation party at Main Event. Project Graduation is a chaperoned all night drug, alcohol, and smoke-free celebration for graduating seniors. This promotes the message that celebrating without alcohol, cigarettes and drugs is the right choice. The celebration is taken place at the Main Event in Lewisville on the night of June 6. Seniors are required to come to the party between 10:30 to 11 p.m. before the lock-in begins. New community services requirements keep dual credit students busy

These students were participating in the practice ACT offered by Project Graduation. Throughout the school year Project Graduation hosts four practice SAT and ACT tests. Project Graduation has partnered with Knowsys to provide this opportunity to Coppell High School students.
