Heading into the playoffs, a better seed would offer the team a better chance at going far into the playoffs with hopes of capturing their second state title. Come out and support your Cowboys…

Cowboys prepare for first round of playoffs
By Amanda Peck Staff Writer The Coppell varsity hockey team finished off their season with an impressive record of 15-6-2. They had a very successful season and are prepared for playoffs. Playoffs will begin March 9 at 7 p.m. at the Farmers Branch Dr. Pepper Center. The Cowboys are scheduled to play Plano West which was one of their biggest rivals during their season. The Cowboys lost to Plano West all of the three times they played them. This puts a lot of pressure on Coppell since their first playoff game is against the one team they did not beat during their regular season. They are training and practicing as much as possible to…
Coppell hockey ends seven game winning streak
By Amanda Peck Staff Writer Last night the Coppell hockey team ended their 7 game winning streak with a 2-5 loss against one of the team’s biggest rivals this year, Plano West. The Cowboys lost to Plano West in overtime earlier this year; however Coppell beat them in a previous game, so the game last night was to determine who would come out on top of the two teams. Though bitter about last night’s loss, the Cowboys are proud to have racked up 7 wins in a row the past couple months therefore putting them higher up in the district rankings. The team only has seven more games, so hopefully they will continue their success…

Coppell vs Southlake volleyball Prediction
By Andy Tabor Today I had a unique opportunity to ask a player from the Plano West volleyball team a few questions about tonight’s big district matchup between Coppell and Southlake. Rachael Bedell is a middle blocker/outside hitter and is verbally committed to play volleyball at the University of Iowa. Plano West has played both Coppell and Southlake this season. The Wolves beat Southlake in five games earlier this season and lost to Coppell twice, once in three games and most recently in four games. Andy: Who do you think will win tonight in the Coppell vs. Southlake Carroll game? Rachael: I think [Coppell] will win. Andy: Is their any particular reason…
