Heritage Day prepares to take students on cultural experience
by Divya Kumar News Editor With the abundance of cultures and ethnicities at Coppell High School, the annual “Heritage Night” is looked forward to with much excitement. Though it is done every year, certain features have been added to this year’s performances and exhibits to make it a greater cultural experience than before. The event, sponsored by the Junior World Affairs Council club, will be held Friday, Feb. 25 from 6-9 p.m. in the small commons. Coppell juniors look to bring all that jazz, create new band
by Divya Kumar News Editor When the word ‘band’ is brought up at Coppell, the first thought in most minds is that of the high school’s marching band. However, the recent formation of a new Jazz Club created by juniors Alex Park and Krish Suresh looks forward to bringing a new type of band to CHS. Park and Suresh, saxophone and percussion players respectively, are both active members of the CHS band. Both excel in their respective musical areas and show a passion for their instrument.
