According to www.spaceweather.com, the moon will be 14% wider and 30% wider tonight compared to full moons throughout the year. The Reason? The moon moves in an eliptical orbit around the Earth, meaning that it is sometimes very close to the Earth and sometimes far awar. This very closest point is called perigee.
