Party in the U.S.A succeeds

Kimberly Del Angel Staff Writer Saturday night, hundreds of students piled in to The Omni hotel in Las Colinas to have fun and dance. Long tables of scrumptious appetizers and desserts littered tables in the hallways to satisfy students needs; two bars on oppisite sides of the dance floor also offered mulitiple drinks to the crowd. The dance began at 7 pm and continued on until 11 pm, giving students plenty of time to socialize and get their groove on. It ended with a bang, as the song “I love you” by Barney was played to dismiss students. Students tittled homecoming 2010 “The best ever” on Facebook as they updated their statuses later in the night.

Behind the scenes of the fourth annual DFW Dragon Boat Festival, however, were performers and volunteers who often had been there since early in the morning, making sure the event went smoothly. Frozen yogurt arrives in time for winter season in Irving

By Daphne Chen Today was the grand opening of a new frozen yogurt shop in Las Colinas, a few minutes south of where many CHS students live in Valley Ranch (Irving). The store, dubbed Yogurt Zone, is one of only a few places that serves frozen yogurt near Coppell, and so far is the closest. Other popular frozen yogurt shops are Yogurtland in Carrollton (in the H-Mart shopping plaza) and I Heart Yogurt in University Park, for those who are willing to travel a little farther. Frozen yogurt, or “fro-yo”, has become a popular alternative in recent years to ice cream, which has a higher fat content because it is made using cream, whereas frozen yogurt…
