Academic Decathlon to be tested at state

Academic decathlon does not often receive such recognition, but it is a special day for the team. As the fight song echoed in the Commons and cheers filled the hallways, the academic decathlon students began their journey to the state competition at Macarthur High School in north Houston. The team will compete all day on Friday and Saturday before an awards ceremony on Sunday. Academic Decathlon competitions, state included, consist of entrants taking multiple tests and demonstrating various other academic skills, with the goal of obtaining the highest possible score….
