From the start, the season was going down the drain with their first game being a loss. The second game they came out and beat the Houston Texans but I think Jerry Jones just paid the other owner so they could get a win under their belts. The Cowboys’ nightmare continues with loss to Jacksonville
By Thomas Hair Staff Writer The Cowboys’ nightmare season that began with a loss to Washington and came to a head last week against the Giants took yet another turn for the worse in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Cowboys had their backs against the wall but did not respond, falling to a ghastly 1-6 record. Even with surprising offensive firepower, the Boys could not keep the game close, losing 35-17. The Cowboys, who lost QB Romo to a collarbone injury last week, had no trouble moving the ball under the helm of veteran Jon Kitna. Cowboys defeat Flower Mound Jaguars 45-24
By Andy Tabor Staff Writer The Coppell football team stamped their first round ticket against Keller by beating the Flower Mound Jaguars Friday night, 45-24. Coppell was led on offense by senior quarterback Hayden Hawk. Hawk had 353 yards throwing and four touchdowns in the game, cementing himself as a top quarterback in district 6-5A. Hawk also led the Cowboys to one of Coppell’s best records ever. “At the beginning of the year I thought this was a possibility.” Hawk said. “To see that it came true is a great accomplishment.” To start the game however, Flower Mound looked like the sharper team, scoring on their opening drive of the game.
