EMAC visits Cowboys Stadium

On Tuesday, around 60 students, excited about the trip and the prospect of missing a school day, piled into two buses and visited one of the NFL’s newest stadiums. Students visit Dallas to see the art it holds

By Gaby Moran Staff Writer   After seeing countless slides of incredible sculptures and paintings in the classroom for seven months, art history students got to go experience what it is like seeing art up close and personal.  On Wednesday, Apr. 14, 107 art students boarded two buses and headed to the art district that the city of Dallas has to offer. Only few knew that Dallas offers more than just one museum of paintings.  Once in the Dallas art district, students were split into two groups to complete a certain set of activities. Outdoor Education students have a ‘blast’ at shooting range field trip

Story and Photos by Daphne Chen On Wednesday, March 24, the first group of approximately 30 Outdoor Education students went on a field trip to Elm Fork Shooting Sports, a shooting range on Luna Road in Dallas. Outdoor Ed teacher Bill Parker started taking his students to Elm Fork about five years ago. “They really want young people to get involved in shooting sports,” Parker said. “They are really pushing for youth shooting so I wanted to do something different but still apply to hunter education.” Students paid a discounted price of $35 each to go the range and were loaned the use of several types of guns and ammo, among them Beretta 12-gauge and…

Field trip enriches lives of students

By Gaby Moran Staff Writer On Tuesday Nov. 11, Coppell High Schools’ AP Art History and IB Art classes took a trip to the art museums in Fort Worth to broaden the students’ minds. Over 100 Art History students met at the horseshoe to divide into groups and proceed to the buses. There were six groups of students each with a chaperone.
