CHS debate team hosts fundraiser at Fat Daddy’s and Cici’s

The Coppell High School debate team has initated several attempts to make money for their account. We started selling snow cones at the beginning of the year, but as winter approached, snow cones were not feasible anymore. On April 10, we hosted a garage sale where all of us took shifts selling items donated from community members. Needless to say, the garage sale was a brilliant idea, as we closed off the Saturday afternoon with over $600, enough to pay for nationals. Last night we hosted another fundraiser at Fat Daddy’s. Relay For Life fundraisers continue this weekend

By Mary Whitfill Staff Writer Relay For Life groups continue their fundraisers this weekend in hopes of meeting their $100,000 goal for the ‘birthday party’ themed event to help celebrate those who have battled cancer: and won. Relay For Life Coppell is an overnight event to begin May 1 at Wagon Wheel Park. The opening ceremonies begin at 5 p.m. and seas of purple will be spotted on the track at 6 p.m. as cancer survivors will wear purple shirts and launch off the event with the first lap.
