To keep with tradition, the last home game is set to honor the senior players. “[Senior Night] is not just to celebrate our soccer careers at the high school but also to thank our parents for coming to all of our games no matter where or what the weather is like,” senior captain Colton Reese said. By Gaby Moran Staff Writer With half the district season over and playoffs coming around the corner, Coppell boys soccer still has not gotten to their full potential. With four more games left until the season is over, Coppell has many crucial games including a Feb. 26 game against Hebron whom Coppell is tied with for the fourth ranking spot. “We beat Hebron last time but anything can happen and we just have to go out there and starting scoring more,” senior captain Jordan Elgin said. Coppell boys soccer start season off strong against Justin Northwest
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer On Saturday Jan. 2, Coppell boys soccer teams played Justin Northwest High School at home. All three teams had shut out games against Justin Northwest. The varsity team played at 2 p.m. and beat Justin Northwest two to zero. One goal was scored by junior Alex Broyles in the first half and the second was scored by senior captain Jordan Elgin thanks to an amazing assist by senior Eric Oesch. Defense looked strong the whole game only giving the other team few good chances to score. Both JV teams also played and beat Justin Northwest earlier.
