Snow Days: Blessing or curse?

From Feb. 1-4, Coppell High School was out of school, which some students referred to as Winter Break 2. The ice days took out five days from the school year and disrupted the entire school schedule. To some, mainly students, it was a blessing that school was cancelled but for the teachers, lesson plans were thrown completely off track. Spider-man reboot officially named “The Amazing Spider-man”

But alas, does the name make the film seem cheesy? Along with the news of the name, Sony Pictures has also released an official image for the movie. Sure, there are other images released, but this one is for promotion purposes and let me tell you, the picture is stunning. Thanksgiving break ends, countdown to winter break begins

Students of Coppell High School returned to class yesterday after the extended break. Even after what was for many a relaxing week, the social networking website Facebook was littered with countdowns. They read, ‘Only fourteen days left’ and ’98 more periods before break!’ along with many other numbers. I posted a similar one as my own status. Then I began thinking: does this breakdown of time help students, or hurt them in the long run? For some, it is helpful to keep their eyes on the prize, give themselves a goal to shoot for.
