Coppell hockey defeats McKinney Lions
By Amanda Peck Staff Writer The Coppell varsity hockey team played, and easily defeated, McKinney last night at the Farmers Branch Dr. Pepper Center with a final score being a whopping 9-0. Usually teams that have been extremely successful throughout the season and are basically guaranteed a playoff spot tend to lack motivation toward the end of district season; something similar to the senioritis that students catch towards the end of their senior year. However, this is not the case for this team, proven by their continuous effort this far and also by their impressive 14-5 record, two of the losses being in overtime. The Cowboys have 5 more games to play before they continue…
Coppell hockey climbs in district rankings with last night’s win
By Amanda Peck Staff Writer The Coppell varsity hockey team proved themselves as being the best team Coppell has had in a while by beating Southlake Carroll, formerly the number one team in the division, 5-2 last night. The team played a great game, especially considering that Brandon Harley, one of the assistant captains and key scorers for the team was sent to the penalty box for most of the game after complaining about getting a penalty in the first period. The Cowboys will play six…
