Seniors take last steps on CHS home field

Last Friday night, November 5th, Coppell Cowboy fans filled the stadium for the last time of the season, witnessing senior cheerleaders, football players, Lariettes, color guard members, Silver Spurs and band members glance up at their fans for the last time. Emotions ran high for senior parents as they escorted their senior student across the field in remembrance of their child’s years of contributions to the school and to football games. CHS Marching Band perform Jubilee part I
Kimberly Del Angel Staff Writer Last Friday night the Coppell Cowboys took on the Mesquite Horn Jaguars and had a fierce round-up of 13-0. During halftime the Coppell High School marching band preformed their show: Life Americana part I, Jubilee and shows great signs of of developing into a killer show this season. This year the band also plans to create a bigger visual for the audience by bringing in props, Coppell directors are trying to keep them under wraps, so there is no mention of what the props will possibly be. Patterson named a part of the All DCI Color guard
By Melissa Brisco Staff Writer Senior Nikole Patterson spends her summer tossing flags, sleeping in high school gyms and working her hardest to be a part of the DCI Memphis Sound Color guard. This unusual way of spending her summer has paid off for Patterson, as she was named the first CHS student to be in the All DCI Color guard. Members of the All DCI Color guard will perform in the halftime show of the US Army All American Bowl on Jan. 9 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.
