With everything from Adam Sandler dying in a snowboarding accident, to old favorites such as Paul McCartney dying in the 60’s being rekindled, false accounts of celebrity deaths are spreading around the Internet like wildfire. Although older celebrity rumors were often more in-depth than recent blurbs, online sources have made it possible for these ideas to latch on and take hold very quickly. Her newest album “Speak Now” has sold over one million albums in the first week. That’s the biggest one-week sales tally in more than 5-1/2 years! This isn’t her first time being in the spotlight, Swift has taken the title of 2010′s best chart debut. Jane Kim Staff Writer Oh, look in the news. It’s yet another celebrity divorce; nothing new or interesting about this. Except for the fact that it is Miley Cyrus’ parents. Everyone has heard of her name before; not to mention all the terrible songs, scandalous pictures and her many break-ups plastered all over the web… Miley Cyrus has become a household name, the epitome of the phrase “good girl goes bad.” From her humble beginnings on the hit Disney Channel tv show Hannah Montana to her transformation to a uhm…an “adult” she has gone through a lot. A little less than a month before Miley’s eighteenth birthday, their parents announced that they are getting divorced….

When will it ever be enough? Even America’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock has fallen victim to her cheating husband Jesse James. All of these celebrities are being put in the spotlight because of their inability to remain faithful. What message does it send to females everywhere when Sandra Bullock and Elin Nordegren can’t keep a man? I personally think it is ridiculous. What’s worse is that divorce and marriage issues are not hard to find, but not everyone has the world watching their every move in the process of something so painful. Free pancake day at IHOP
My classmates raved about another free pancake day at IHOP this week, but frequenters warned inquirers that the wait for some after-school breakfast would be long. Earlier this week -Tuesday, Feb. 23 it was, to be exact- wasn’t just any ordinary free pancake day, though. It was in celebration of National Pancake Day. Who knows where this holiday originated, but I am definitely in favor of taking off school to eat delicious, warm, fluffy, butter-topped and sweet syrup-drenched pancakes. Yum. IHOP recognizes the silly holiday with free food in return for asking for its customers to donate at the door. “Stacks for Good Acts” they call it. IHOP will give you one short stack of…
