CHS marching band to compete in State
Kimberly Del Angel Staff Writer Video by Mason Adams and Chenglei Wu “Now taking the field, the Coppell High School marching band…” The crowd goes wild, and band parents shout out their traditional chant (“Let’s go band!”) as the drum line plays its traditional cadence and excites the flame on the marching field. Every other year, the CHS marching band takes a unified stride onto the selected field chosen for the highly recognized Texas State marching competition. by Divya Kumar News Editor Travelling across the country, spending nights on a charter bus and performing at different venues across the nation seems like the kind of activity reserved to rock stars and famous celebrities. This image is a difficult one to picture a marching band completing. However, in the case of the Phantom Regiment drum corps, summertime for the members is characterized as such, and Coppell junior Aaron Fisher will be the newest snare drum addition to join in.
