To keep with tradition, the last home game is set to honor the senior players. “[Senior Night] is not just to celebrate our soccer careers at the high school but also to thank our parents for coming to all of our games no matter where or what the weather is like,” senior captain Colton Reese said. Cowboys look to snap scoring drought for playoff push

By Gaby Moran Staff Writer With half the district season over and playoffs coming around the corner, Coppell boys soccer still has not gotten to their full potential. With four more games left until the season is over, Coppell has many crucial games including a Feb. 26 game against Hebron whom Coppell is tied with for the fourth ranking spot. “We beat Hebron last time but anything can happen and we just have to go out there and starting scoring more,” senior captain Jordan Elgin said. Donahue recovers, takes to field

by Caitlin Conner Staff Writer         Injuries can threaten any athlete’s career. Even with weeks of rehabilitation and treatment, some never return to their sport for fear of further injury. Senior Brandon Donahue, however, is an exception to this pattern.                 Donahue began playing football in seventh grade where he played at Coppell Middle School West. He then went on to play throughout his sophomore year at CHS. However, during the season Donahue broke his forearm which required surgery.                 Donahue began playing soccer when he was 6 and continued playing throughout high school.
