Cowboys prepare to battle Marauders

This gave Coppell boys soccer team a full week just to focus on Friday March 5 game against Flower Mound Marcus. Last game, the Marauders beat the Cowboys 1-0 and tonight is a chance for redemption. Cowboys battle for playoff spot tonight
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer Coppell boys varsity soccer team plays Hebron tonight, Feb 26, for a crucial game. Both teams are tied for fourth place in District 6-5A and only the top four teams qualify for playoffs. Tonight’s winner is garenteed a spot to playoffs while the other will be out of the running. The game is scheduled to start around 7:30 pm at Buddy Echols Field. JV 2 is scheduled to start at 4:30 pm and JV 1 is scheduled to start at 6 pm. Cowboys look to snap scoring drought for playoff push

With four more games left until the season is over, Coppell has many crucial games including a Feb. 26 game against Hebron whom Coppell is tied with for the fourth ranking spot. “We beat Hebron last time but anything can happen and we just have to go out there and starting scoring more,” senior captain Jordan Elgin said. Lind brothers reunite at Lipscomb
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer There have been many students who have gone through the Coppell High School soccer program with a sibling following their footsteps, but that path usually ends once the oldest has graduated. Senior Jeremy Lind, however, plans to follow his older brother Josh Lind’s footsteps all the way to Nashville, Tenn. “At the beginning, I never thought I’d end up where my brother went especially since it was a sports decision,” Jeremy said. Soccer ball fan T-shirt tradition continues 
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer Coppell High School has its fair share of T-shirts, from class shirts to rivalry game shirts, and even to fundraiser shirts. Even if the game or fundraisers are repeats, the designs are often different. Fill the Stands Night for boys soccer on Friday

Coppell plays Southlake Carroll in first district game tonight
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer After a month of scrimmages and non-district play, Coppell boys soccer prepare for their first district game tonight against Southlake Carroll. This will be a competitive game. Southlake Carroll is ranked 48th in the nation as of last week. Southlake has a strong offense but Coppell has a strong defense, so one goal could be the deciding factor. The boys games are at Buddy Echols Stadium. Highland Park soccer game postponed until Saturday due to weather
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer Coppell boys soccer was scheduled to have their last game before district tonight, Friday Jan. 29, against Highland Park at Highlander Stadium at 8pm. However, due to weather conditions, the game has been moved. As of this moment, the game is scheduled to be on Saturday Jan. 30 at Highlander Stadium at 2 pm. Coppell takes on Euless Trinity in soccer
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer The Coppell Varsity boys soccer team will scrimmage with Euless Trinity High School tonight. The two were suppose to play against each other in the Cowboy Classic Kickoff Tournament but that was cancelled due to weather. The Cowboys feel very confident that this should be a blow out game. Euless Trinity’s soccer team is nothing compared to their 2009 State Champions football team. The game is at home at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Monday Jan. 11.
Cowboy Kickoff Classic cancelled, scrimmage on Saturday
By Gaby Moran Staff Writer The annual Cowboy Kickoff Classic Tournament hosted by Coppell High School soccer team was cancelled due to the weather forecasts on Thursday Jan. 7 and Friday Jan. 8. Although Coppell will not get to go against Euless Trinity High School, Amarillo High School, or El Paso Coronado High School, Coppell did schedule a scrimmage against McKinney Boyd High School, who is ranked third in the state. The game is at home at 4 pm on Saturday Jan. 9. Come cheer the soccer team against their first real tough competition of the season.
