Baylor’s Robert Griffin III announced as Heisman canidate
After watching them every Saturday, it is fairly obvious that this year’s Baylor Bears football team is different than the one’s of years past. Led by their standout QB Robert Griffin III, the Bears are already bowl eligible with a 7-4 record, their most wins since the early 1990s. Wins over Kansas State and Texas propelled Baylor to their first top 25 ranking since that time as well. As if that weren’t enough to cheer about in Waco, on Wednesday, the Heisman Trophy Trust sent Griffin a letter which announced his canidacy for the prestigious Heisman Trophy. Every season, the Heisman Trophy is awarded to who is considered the most outstanding collegiate football player in…

Coppell is coming off a victory over Allen last Tuesday, a game in which they scored double digits in every quarter, something they will undoubtedly need to if they are to contend in this game. The Cowboys (5-2) get Taylor Goebel, Nic Johnston, Kyle Echerd and Carter Kemp back from the gridiron; they will provide plenty of size and athleticism. Duncanville (7-4) haven’t jumped…
