Photography club snaps back into action
For those students who have never been able to fit a photography class into their overfilled schedule, yet have always wanted to learn more about the art, the Shutterbugs Club is ideal. Offering the opportunity to both learn how to take photographs and enhance dormant skills, the club will host its first meeting of the year tomorrow, September 16th, in Mrs. Pellegrino’s room (A107). The meeting starts at 4:00 and should last for roughly ten minutes. This first meeting will cover the basics of the club, upcoming events and T-shirts. AP IB Council held to address complaints

This year, with the introduction of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, the GPA race has become is becoming even more intense. Some students which decided not to join the IB program, and opted for AP classes instead think their class ranks are being negatively affected as a direct result of the IB program. Eichenberger brings new life to photography club
by Melissa Brisco staff writer This year more than ever, it seems that CHS has developed an intense passion for photography; cameras are everywhere and sites like ‘flickr’ are becoming increasingly popular. Students in International Baccalaureate (IB), in addition to the requirement of taking higher level classes, also have to complete requirements for certain hours. One such set of hours that IB students have to complete is ‘creative hours’. Junior IB student Audrey Eichenberger has found an inventive and productive way of completing her hours. Eichenberger is resurrecting the CHS Shutterbugs Club. SADD prepares for Red Ribbon Week
In preparation for the upcoming Red Ribbon week, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) have begun preparing themes and decorations to place around the school in order to raise awareness about drunken decisions while driving. The themes for next week involve: Friends Don’t Let Friends Do Drugs (twin day), Put a Cap on Drugs (hat day), Band out Drugs (wear a band T-shirt), Sock em Up (wear silly socks) and on Friday, a Red Out (wear red). “I joined SADD because I am aware of many people who have fallen under the influence of drugs and alcohol,” junior SADD member Audrey Eichenberger said. “I want to provide a positive influence to end this sweeping epidemic.” During the…
