Profile: Lauren Ussery is a notoriously sleep-deprived junior at Coppell High School and is the Design Editor for The Sidekick and its online publication, Coppell Student Media. This is Lauren's second year on staff, originally serving as the Centerspread Editor for the 2010-2011 school year. As an editor, her responsibilities include overseeing and assigning page designs, as well as helping maintain and brainstorming new ideas for the online publication, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Lauren is also involved in CHS's AP art program, and is a member of the National Art Honor Society, the Drama Club, and the Latin Club. In her free time she enjoys dabbling in photography, creeping on Michelle Pitcher, and listening to quality music. Lauren recently met her biggest hero, Shepard Fairey. It was the greatest day of her life thus far. Lauren aspires to one day become a creative director at an advertising agency in California.
