When seniors think senior festivities, one event jumps out. Prom. It consumes our thoughts, our energy and our money. With so much focus on this event, other important dates activities can be forgotten.
Feb. 22
This Fri. is the prom fashion show. Important prom details will be discussed and every senior who has the morning off should make an effort to come during second period. The entire class watches the student “models” showcase prom attire samples and the class superlatives are nominated.
March 7
Earlier in the year, students filed out forms to order graduation announcements, tassels, hats and gowns and more. Josten’s will be here on Thurs. March 7 to allow students to pick up what they ordered. The specific time and location for each student’s pick up will be sent to them by mail.
March 8
The Fri. prior to Spring Break is to host the annual senior class picnic. This day is full of fun and lets the senior class celebrate their classmates and get out of school for an entire afternoon. Sign ups for the picnic will begin during the lunch periods the day of the picnic. The picnic will be at 11 a.m. at Andy Brown Park.
May 2
While this date is after the chaos of prom has settled down, preparation for the event is already underway. Senior Parent Night will be Thurs. May 2 at Irving Bible Church from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A baby photo and current photo is needed of every senior. The class officers and sponsors ask that these photos be sent to [email protected].
