Blood drive a success at CHS

With 1,100 donors needed daily, donating blood is an easy way to make a difference in the world. Through Carter BloodCare, students were given the opportunity to donate more than just their time.

Many students chose to donate blood during the day. For students that were 16, a parent consent form had to be brought also. There were also other requirements including having a weight of 110 pounds. Students also had to check their iron level before donating.

Officers and volunteers of the National Honor Society also helped make the day a success. By walking blood donators  back to their classes and providing snacks, these students helped the day run smoothly.

If students missed this opportunity to donate blood, Carter BloodCare will return in the spring for another blood drive.
