Basketball players top list of best area teams

As the 22-8 Cowboys goes into their last regular season game tonight against Denton Guyer, it is important to also note the personal successes of the individuals on the team.

Jett Raines ranks 3rd in area 5A schools for points per game at 17.0, 2nd in points overall with 527, and 3rd in rebounds with 288. Warren Oishi is 3rd in assists with 177, putting him at 5th in assists per game with 5.7.

Last time the Cowboys played the 11-16 Denton Guyer Wildcats, the won by a narrow margin, 59-54. While they have already secured their playoff spot, the Cowboys are the clear favorites to take home one last win in their regular season. While the success of the program is a team effort, these two players definitely made an especially large impact.
