Le Whif: Inhalable Food

Created by Harvard professor David Edwards, this “sweet as chocolate, light as air” new product has emerged from the market. Le Whif, packaged in a lipstick sized biodegradable tube, is an alternative way to get chocolate and coffee fixes. Users simply put Le Whif in their mouth, squeeze, and the taste of chocolate bursts on their tastebuds. Currently, there are four flavors: raspberry chocolate, mint chocolate, pure chocolate and coffee. In a pack of 8-10 “whifs” there is less than one calorie, yet it has the same effect as eating the actual food. For example, a pack of coffee “whifs” is equivalent to one shot of expresso. At the moment these products have made appearances in North America, UK, France and Japan and are hoping to make it to more places soon.
