What we’re watching: season premieres of your favorite TV shows

Here is a list of premiere dates for some of the shows I’m most excited for this season; if you haven’t seen any of these, I suggest you rent the seasons or watch them online. Coppell shuts down Jags, wins 13-0
By Peter Sblendorio The Cowboys kicked off the 2010 football season with a bang on Friday night, beating the Mesquite Horn Jaguars 13-0. Coppell pounded the ball all night with an effective running game led by senior Cam McDaniel, who tallied 218 yards on 44 carries and accounted for both of the Cowboy’s touchdowns. Senior quarterback Joe Minden also played well in his debut as the starter, completing 14 of 22 passes for 146 yards. The game had a relatively slow-tempo for most of the first half, with the Cowboys breaking a scoreless tie on a rushing touchdown by McDaniel with 1:38 left before halftime. New Theatre Auditions: Into the Woods
Kelly Stewart Staff Writer Barely a week has gone by, and already the theatre is scheduling auditions for their new play, Into the Woods. The premise is complex, but well thought out, incorporating many well-known fairy tales into one story. The main story is that a Baker and his wife must assemble four ingredients into a potion for a witch so that they can lift a curse preventing them from having children. They must find a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and the slipper as pure as gold. Cowboys open the season tonight against Mesquite Horn
By Peter Sblendorio Coming off of an impressive 11-2 season, the Coppell Cowboys football team will look to pick up where they left off on Friday night in the season opener against Mesquite Horn. The Cowboys will sport a relatively new starting lineup on both sides of the ball, as a number of key seniors from last season graduated in June.
