Cowgirls dream squashed, lose 2-1
By Andy Tabor Photos by Tyler Morris The Coppell Cowgirls dream of repeating as state 5-A champs ended Tuesday night in Hebron. The girls lost 2-1 to McKinney Boyd in regulation in a very hard fought game. McKinney Boyd is the top team in the state and are a staggering 25-0-3. The Cowgirls only goal was a header scored by Stanford signee Chioma Obogagu to light the scoreboard up first. The Lady Broncos Emily Reid, who is an Oklahoma commit, came down after a botched Coppell corner kick and made an amazing goal that left Coppell fans and teammates staggered. At halftime the game was tied at 1-1 and still the Cowgirls believed that they…

“Beware of Christians” comes to Dallas
By Rebecca Fowler Staff Writer Most students don’t feel they can make a difference. We get involved as much as we can but never get the feeling that we are truly recognized or appreciated. One college student is making a difference, however, and not just at his university but across the nation. Baylor University senior Will Bakke, the director of One Nation Under God, is coming out with a new and inspiring film this weekend. The movie is called Beware of Christians. Starring Bakke and his friends Michael Allen, Matt Owen and Alex Carroll, Beware of Christians is a documentary-styled film following the four boys’ search to discover the Jesus of the Bible, rather than…
Red vs. Blue to return with new “Revelation”
Ashleigh Heaton Entertainment Editor Fans of machinima rejoice: Red vs. Blue is starting its eleventh season, Revelation, on Thursday, April 1, airing at 7 p.m. EST. For all you without a calender, that’s tomorrow. In anticipation of the new season premiere, the staff at Rooster Teeth has been uploading the last two seasons, Relocated and Reconstruction, to Youtube for the past two weeks (and yeah, I have been watching them as they upload.) For those who haven’t or even have seen the past seasons, I suggest re-watching these episodes before starting Revelation: the plot got really complicated and twisted, especially by the time the season finale rolled around. Never heard of Red vs. Blue? You’re…

Clash of the Titans to premiere this Friday
Maddie Walters Staff Writer I remember as a fourth grader experiencing my first Greek myth. It was their version of the creation story and since that fateful meeting the mythology of the Greek and Roman civilizations has captivated me in a way that few other works of literature have. Over the decades, Greek and Roman mythology has been used in literature throught the western world and has even influenced movies. The 1981 production of Clash of the Titans was one such film. For a modern audiences, the graphics and effects are incredibly lacking and so an updated version of this same film has been produced and will debut March 26. The film’s premise revolves around the myth…
Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package has a rocky start
By Wren Culp Staff Writer I stayed up till 12:55 last night only to be disappointed. Like many teenagers across the country, I stayed up late to get the highly anticipated “Stimulus Package” for their very successful game “Modern Warfare 2.” But alas, the game did not work on my Xbox, and I soon realized that it wasn’t working on anybody’s Xbox Live account. About a week ago I traveled to Target, which is the greatest store on the face of the planet, to purchase my Microsoft gamer points. Gamer points allow you to buy things such as game demos, add-ons and even themes for your Xbox all on your Xbox. The Stimulus Package that…
